it doesnt come with age or money....

Self respect doesn’t come with age or money…not that I thought it did… the other day I got together with friends…u know how it is with them, even if u meet them after months there is a comfort level that cant be established with JUST ABOUT ANYONE. So anyways a drive to the India gate for chuski (it is supposedly very famous) was all we were looking forward to. Remembering the old days which will NEVER come back and catching up we ordered the chuski…(for those who arnt chuski lovers…at India gate u see lines of cars and this guy shouting at the top of his lungs….CHUSKI CHUSKI…TASTI CHUSKI…COME ….) English with a typical hindi accent…anyways just when we started having the delicious but messy chuski a young boy around 10 year old came to our car to sell sculptures…we weren’t interested and just thanked him but he was just had to show us all the variety. He said ‘ aap budha lew lijiye…ye bahut lucky hota hai, nahi to budha family…nahi to boat le lijiye…ye bhi bahut lucky hai’ he kept taking these sculptures out of his shirt…and all I said was ‘hume nahi chahiye, aap ye bechne ki jagah padte kyu nahi ?’ his reply to this was ‘me din me school jata hu aur raat ko ye bechta hu, aap le lo bahut lucky hai, mere paas bahut variety hai’ if it was otherwise I woun’t have given it a thought but his hard work and sincerity made him ask him to join us for a chuski, all he said was ‘me aise kisi se koi cheez nahi leta, me aapko aaapke liye kam price laga dunga lekin aise kuch nahi lunga’ …its been a week this incident happened but I still havnt forgotten THOSE words…and I NEVER WILL…

Well we need to hand shake..
cos both of us our good cooks in that case!
at least in our own books..
Its nice to get my first REAL compliment from you..
But the thing I need to clarify is that I am not presenting the situation as the homo sapien having crafted himself..
Its my version of a sci-fi..
This is how I believe the present developements seem to be taking the world which will inevitably reate the world of my thougths!
Hope I made myself clear!

well my above comment was in response to your comments on my blog..
dint realise you have updated your blog cos I think it must have hardly been a few hours when I wrote it..!
Well..firstly..your blog made me realise how slow I read hindi..
Its a big time shame to admit that I suck at readin my own mother tongue..!
The chap you met was one helluva fellow..
My second wierd analogy:
In deewar the villian says to his side kick when kiddo Amitabh doesnt accept thrown money:
Yeh ladka bohot aage jayega.
Which he obviously did!

while I hope that the boy really meant what he said.. i know of instances where they are trained to hit where it hurts the most...

emotions and sentiments...

selling on the streets has come a long way from where it was..

I still hope this kid meant all his said... God Bless him !!!!

1) chuski is damn damn good ! just love it.. but dnt blame the "chuski wala" for the change in ur tongue color after dat [:P]
2) Friends are the only onesd wid whom u feel comfortable and like u're @ the top of the world [:P].. CHeers to friendship !
3) I'll also not forget those small but inspiring words... We people don't realize how much the lif3e is giving us..! We need better shoes to play.. good clothes to wear @ different occasions.. BUT they have no choice.. Its all about fate ..! We shud learn to be satisfied in what we have got ! And should desire less !
Anyways.. its all about luck ! and damn common in our country! i pity at the poverty in here ! Lets hope everyone gets equal...!
Good post girl
Keep up the good work !

At times the sincerity n dedication that these helpless kids show, makes me wonder do we really deserve what we have! And why is it that the ones who actually deserve somethin for their hardwork, have none.
Great post! Relived some of my sweetest memories of India Gate..
